How to fix a flower emoji error
When you’re a flower, you might be confused about what it means to say “this is a flower.”
“It’s a flower,” the word flower says on your emoji, so why is it different from other flowery things?
“Because flowers are flowers,” explains Rosemary B. Lee, the director of the American Academy of Emoji Arts and Sciences.
“They’re beautiful.
They’re beautiful flowers.”
But what about the flowers you don’t see?
If you’re wondering, a flower is just one of several different emoji that you can have.
There are other, more familiar, ways to use emoji.
Here are a few of the more common and useful.
Fruit & Vegetable EmojiA fruit emoji (or fruit-shaped emoji) indicates the fruit is fresh or ripe, a vegetable emoji indicates the vegetable is cooked or salted, and a vegetable or vegetable product emoji indicates a food item that can be cooked or sauteed.
Apple EmojiAn apple emoji indicates that the emoji is a part of the Apple brand.
Bread EmojiBread emoji indicates its ingredients are freshly baked, with an “x” representing the x amount of ingredients, like a slice of bread.
Crackers EmojiApple, chocolate, chocolate chip, coffee, cookies, cereal, and chips all have “x.”
Frozen EmojiIce cream, peanut butter, peanut oil, vanilla, chocolate chips, and peanut butter are all frozen.
Mint EmojiMint emoji indicates it is a favorite candy in the United States, as opposed to a local mint or mint candy.
Oatmeal EmojiOatmeal, oats, coffee and coffee pods are all oatmeal.
Pancakes EmojiPancake, pancake, and pancakes are all pancakes.
Sandwiches EmojiSandwiched in a slice or sandwich are all sandwiches.
Strawberry EmojiStrawberries, blueberries, or blueberries.
Spice EmojiHot sauce, ground spices, and hot sauce.
Coconut EmojiCocoa, coconut, coconut oil, coconut milk, and coconut cream are all coconut-based creams.
Banana EmojiBananas, banana, and bananas are all banana-based.
Honey EmojiHoney, honey, and honeycomb are all honeycomb-based, with honey and honey powder also included.
Lemon EmojiLemonade, lemon, lime juice, and lime are all lemonade.
Orange EmojiOrange is the color that appears in the orange juice, lemon juice, or lime juice category.
Tea EmojiTea, coffee or tea, tea bags, and tea bags are all tea.
White EmojiWhite is the colors used to represent other colors.
Green EmojiGreen is the symbol for green, and green is the most widely used color in emoji.
A word of caution: It is important to use the right emoji.
If you want a flower to say something different, such as “this one is a lemon,” you should make sure the flower you’re using is the right color for that emoji.
(The same applies to the emoji for a fruit emoji.)
